The Total Ownership Tracking Economics Calculator (TOTEC)

The TOTEC tool was developed by Cenex Nederland to assess and compare the full economic performance of different mobility options, including private vehicles, shared mobility services, and community-based transport models. TOTEC captures both upfront and operational costs over time, to support evidence-based decision-making by users. The tool is designed to be transparent, flexible, and scenario-driven: all default assumptions can be adjusted by the user to reflect local conditions.
